The Story of

Proposals & Engagements

Let the story of your proposal begin at No.10 Edith Hegedüs, we will be happy to guide you through the process and find the perfect ring for your loved one.

Asking her

There is no right or wrong way to propose to your loved one. You may propose on a light summer’s night in a garden with the air heavy with the scent of roses or you may propose on a cold and windy November evening waiting for the Metro – the only thing that matters is your love and commitment.

Which Ring?

Make the ring the symbol of your love and commitment. The choice of ring can be any one. You may choose a solitaire ring, a simple and beautiful band of gold, a ring full of diamonds, or a ring made with your initials. You may even decide on a bespoke piece of jewellery that will become a family heirloom.

Whichever ring you choose we believe your fiancée will adore and cherish it forever, and we will be happy to guide you in the process.

Which Size?

If you don’t know the ring size of your bride-to-be, don’t worry. Contrary to what you might think, the size of the ring is not so important – all engagement rings can be adjusted to fit her finger perfectly after your proposal.

We will be more than happy to welcome your fiancée at our Copenhagen boutique, where we will fit her engagement ring to the exact size and make the fitting a lovely and memorable experience.

Which Finger?

Wedding rings and engagement rings are mostly worn on the fourth finger of the left hand; it was once believed that the vein in this finger goes directly to the heart. But the bride may also choose to wear her ring on her left hand before marriage, and move it to her right hand after the ceremony.
