The Story of

Special Occasions

Which ever occasion you want to celebrate, it is our pleasure to help you find the perfect gift. We will also be able to help you with a bespoke piece of jewellery if you have wishes that go beyond what you can find.

Valentine's Day

Although this is perceived as an American tradition, the day became associated with romantic love already in the 14th century, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into a day on which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, or sending ‘Valentines’, what we call Valentine cards. In Europe, is has been a tradition that Saint Valentine’s Keys are given to loved ones “as a romantic symbol and an invitation to unlock the giver’s heart”.

Confirmation

Celebrating a confirmation is a very festive day where both the faith given in Baptism is being confirmed and made strong, but also the day that symbolizes the step from childhood into adulthood. It carries much hope and anxiety and meaning for the young one, so why not let this day stay in the remembrance of the young person by giving a gift that will actually remind them of this very special day every time the jewelry is worn and may even become a family heirloom going from generation, always telling the story of an important moment in the family history?

Mother's Day

This is a day where mothers and motherhood are celebrated. We may think it is a materialistic construction, but in fact it is a day that is celebrated all over the world from Armenia to Zambia. So why not celebrate it in Denmark and celebrate the woman that carried you and the woman who carried your child? Or your daughter who is bringing up your grandchild?

Anniversaries

You celebrate your wedding day each year, but some of the anniversaries carry more importance and have special traditions. After 50 years of marriage you celebrate your golden wedding anniversary. The bride may wear golden shoes or even a golden wreath. The celebration after sixty years of marriage is called the diamond anniversary. And you may ask yourself if you should really wait that long before presenting your loving wife with a golden ring or a perfect, shining stone of utter beauty!

Just Because

But maybe you do not actually need an occasion for giving your loved one a gift? Maybe a perfectly normal weekday with ups and downs, too little sleep and an exuberant two-year old toddler is more than enough to celebrate? Or why not celebrate the day the family spent playing cards in a tent while the rain poured down? Those are the days our lives are made of, those are the precious days we should celebrate. Just because we are here together.
